# How the DAWN token fits in

**TLDR:**

* The USD.infra Vault comes first: it finances deployments and turns contracted revenue into measurable, reportable infrastructure cashflows (USD.infra/sUSD.infra).
* The DAWN token comes later: it’s the protocol’s long-term coordination, incentive, and governance layer, launched after the network and capital loops work in production.
* Sequencing is intentional: Network → Capital (USD.infra Vault) → Token, so token incentives rest on proven economics rather than speculation.
* What the DAWN token is for: verification incentives, rewarding high-quality delivery, aligning long-term participants, governing protocol parameters, and ecosystem growth incentives.
* The USD.infra Vault creates the scale and transparency that makes token-based coordination actually meaningful.

The USD.infra Vault is the capital layer that accelerates real-world deployments and makes the network’s economics measurable. The DAWN token is designed to be the protocol’s long-term coordination and incentive layer, and is sequenced after core network and capital primitives are live.

## **Sequencing**

1. **Network layer:** deploy infrastructure, serve real subscribers, measure performance.
2. **Capital layer (USD.infra Vault):** route capital into deployments, produce measurable cashflows and reporting.
3. **Token layer (DAWN token):** align long-term participants, coordinate incentives, and govern protocol parameters once network economics are proven and measurable.

The USD.infra Vault is the capital layer that finances deployments and routes real digital infrastructure cashflows back to participants. The DAWN token is intended to arrive later as the network’s native coordination layer—aligning long-term stakeholders around network growth, verification, and protocol governance once deployment and cashflow loops are operating at scale.<br>

The DAWN token is intended to support protocol-level coordination such as:

* Incentives for verification and high-quality delivery
* Alignment for long-term network participation
* Governance of protocol parameters
* Ecosystem incentives that expand coverage and real usage

The USD.infra Vault does not replace the DAWN token. It is the mechanism that helps the network reach the scale and transparency needed for token incentives to rest on real economics.

In short:

* The USD.infra Vault connects capital to real digital infrastructure yield (USD.infra / sUSD.infra).
* The DAWN token is for broader protocol alignment and incentives over time (sequenced after the network and capital primitives are proven in production).
